During test this mag-lev train accelerated to 800 kph in 5.3 seconds. Now where did I put that g-suit I used to have?

I visited Shanghai in 2006 on business and rode the Maglev out to the airport and back. Very fast !
Ticket and photo to prove it.

800kph is 800,000 meters per hour/ 3600 seconds per hour/ 5.3 seconds is an acceleration of 42 meters per second squared. Gravity is 9.8 meters per second squared. 42/9.8=4.286 Basically, it’s pretty quick.

Will passengers have to be buckled into the seats when it starts up?

I never considered "mag lev" to be "real" RAILroad equipment anyway.
No wheels on the rails...
