Bob great ride! Should be great when you get the other level in the mix.

You may consider: watching the video the camera bounces up/down on left and right sides sometimes when you go over track joints. To me that means something is not level; could be rail to rail is offset just a little. Most of the time it happens on curves which in the long run *could* cause issues. You might check it out now vs after ballasting and such. Turnouts are another matter - usually the frog point can be filed down a tad to catch the wheel better instead of it bumping up into the frog. Ya, the 1:1 does this too.

Found an actual pix of it, but can not find it again. Give it a try on an offline turnout - run a wheelset with your finger lightly on it over the frog and feel the bump. The wheel tries to fall into the channel and has to 'bump' up to the stock rail. File a tad off and do it again. You should feel the difference. Maybe overkill, but easy to do when installing turnouts. YMMV.

Thank you. Yeah, I’m glad I moved them too. Eventually I’ll need to figure out what to put in those three sidings. I would like to have a road between the embankment and the buildings that will go there. But that’s a ways away.
The grain facility is the only one that’s going where it currently sits. Bought some add on silos to make it bigger. It’s going to look pretty nice.

I paid much attention while laying track on my own layout, I even added superelevation, but I am not certain a video ride would be as smooth as what I see on your video.
Question : what camera do you use ?

Thank you. Good track work means less frustration. No super elevation for me. Too many curves.😆 It would take me forever to lay track. I already went through my first case of track! (300’)

I like to solder at least two pieces of flex track at a time when laying the curves. It makes the joints smooth. Sometimes I solder three pieces if the curve is really broad, but that gets a little tricky.

Here is the camera that I use. It’s not mine, borrowed it from a co-worker. It has wi-fi so I can watch it on my phone when recording.

I agree, I also solder 2 pieces of tracks together for curves, when installed I solder the feeders at this same joint.
I don't solder the following joints to allow for expansion.
So feeders are dropped every 6 feet on main line, feeding power in both directions.
I use a mini disc tool to cut track and a small file to prepare for rail joints. Important for Peco code 83 rail joints, they are quite tight since they are also made for code 70.
I never had the guts to try with 3 pieces of tracks together.
 
Concerning superelevation it looks great but it takes a lot of precision and patience.
It's especially complex on curves/counter curves configuration since you need to calculate track transition and superelevation transition together.
Superelevation transition must be very progressive to allow for long railcars or locos to stay on the tracks.
I did get some headaches...

Yep, every 6 feet is what I do too. I’m using all atlas code 83 and all Walthers turnouts on the main. Tonight’s project is to lay all the cork on this huge curve.
