You can get CA in gel, too, and that is what I use. You squeeze the small plastic vial to get a small drop of the gel into place, and you can actually take a bit of time to orient the item to be bonded using needle nosed pliers or tweezers and then press it home. Doesn't bond as quickly as the watery stuff, either, so make sure you can support the item for a bit, or have it oriented vertically so that its own weight keeps it in place.

There are many variants of CA adhesives.

For example, many CA glues will attack (melt) foam, such as the blue and pink foam often used for sub-roadbed and scenery. But there are foam-safe CAs available that do not attack foam.

CA is available in various viscosities, from thin and watery to thick gap-filling types.

And you can get "kicker" or "accelerator" for CA glues that cause even the gap-filling type of CA to set instantly.
