CONTEST TIME!

First let me thank all of you for your visits. The prize is a Bachmann Spectrum DCC/Sound Consolidation 2-8-0.

Second, Compare the second photo to the first (top) photo. Record what you see different in the second photo (bottom). There will be at least 6 differences and no more that 10. If no one wins by 2000 PST tonight I will post the exact number of changes as a hint. The only hint. If you've read previous posts you will notice I mentioned how to lose this contest. That is done by posting your finds too early to only find out you were short. Patience and triple checking wins these things. Winner will be earliest 'time' stamp with correct answers. Best of luck, Jim:D

Lastly, remember the whole photo is in play. Changes can be anywhere. What doesn't count in the photos are changes in camera angle or lighting.

PS Someone always wins these contests, but if this one is not won by 0900 PST, tomorrow morning (Sunday) I will declare the Contest won by me and I will keep the prize for another time.

Photos look great Jim. Seeing as I won't be home when the contest is over and have to leave soon, I will have to post my answers now and hope for the best. The differences I found in photo 2 are:
1. Wood pile next to caboose repositioned.
2. Truck at bottom right now has fenders.
3. Gondola on turntable now has brake wheel.
4. Boxcar next to gondola now has brake wheel.
5. Same boxcar now has open door.
6. Door is now closed on shed behind caboose.
7. Man inside blacksmith car is repositioned
8. There is now a barrel on the floor of the blacksmith car, in with the crates.
9. Man next to flatcar and critter is repositioned.

Darn, rlundy beat me to it ... oh well, here are the things I found:

1. Door opened on shed behind the caboose (top right)
2. The box cars door is open
3. Box car has brake wheel
4. Man next to the flat top car is facing a different direction
5. The car on the turntable has a brake wheel
6. Piece of wood on wood pile moved
7. Another barrel in the car on the bottom left

Looks like I have missed a few things, will have to go back and see if I can find them. Even if I do, this is my entry-will just be looking for those other things for my own curiosity.

With that being said, well done rlundy.

Man this was painful but kind of fun
-the boards next to the truck have been moved
- shack door in front of caboose is opened
- the guy next to the flat car has been turned slightly
-the drum on the car is moved ( next to red man signed shack)
-the blue thing on the same car has beeen tilted down more , think its a man
- box car in front of red rail car has brake wheel
- there is a brake wheel on red rail car
-paper under the end of the boards that were moved is gone
- box car door is opened
- could be my eyes but comparing the two right above the hose reel or what ever it is where the guy has been moved ( tilted more) there appears to be more red , right at the top of that pillar under the right front corner roof

Oh poo! Hell, I didn't want another engine anyway, especially not a Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0 for my poor dying sons girlfriends ex boy friends best mates (with cancer) second best mate. He is going to be so disappointed, shattered in fact!

That mate being me, of course! :)

Well done guys.

OK, As I also have to do other things. Here are mine

1. Blacksmiths legs repositioned
2. brake wheel on flatcar on turntable
3. brake wheel on box car
4. door open on box car
5. door closed on shed next to caboose
6. planks on ground repositioned
7. small barrel missing on blacksmith's car
8. lantern on same car lit in top picture, not in bottom.

That's my lot (for now, HeHe)

Hey Toot I guess were my eyes were right , so that's what that red was I saw, a lantern.

I didn't see your answer till I posted, but had looked at that several times wondering what it was and that seemed the most probable. BUT, no-ones won yet.

Are we having fun yet???????????????? Here is a hint, I know I only said one, but you all need another. The boxcar on the turntable track is only ONE answer. Off to dinner with friends. Later. Jim:o

PS some of you are playing the game backwards. Pic #2 is the pic that you find the differences. Don't get confused and lose that way.

Tony, Because it is the boxcar itself that is the answer. I didn't know the door was open when I took the second picture. SO the answer should be 'boxcar turned end for end.. You can see in the second photo that the brake wheel is now on the opposite end of the car in pic #2. Basically all who read this should simply say boxcar is turned. Free answer all.

rlundy, Truck fenders is not correct. Remember I said camera angles and lighting on not to be factored in. Jim :o

-the boards next to the truck have been moved
- shack door in front of caboose is opened
-barrel removed on railcar that man is now standing up straight
-man standing up straight on rail car
- there is a brake wheel on red rail car
-paper in the area where boards were shuffled
- box car turned end for end
- red spot on same car man is now standing straight is gone or lite is turned off pillar under the right front corner roof

Here's my second crack at it.
The differences I found in photo 2 are:
1. Wood pile next to caboose repositioned.
2. Gondola on turntable now has brake wheel.
3. Boxcar next to gondola has been turned around
4. Door is now closed on shed behind caboose.
5. Now there is a piece of paper under woodpile.
6.Blacksmith with red shirt inside blacksmith car has been moved or removed. Guy dressed in blue has been repositioned inside blacksmith car.
7. There is now a barrel on the floor of the blacksmith car, in with the crates.
8. Man next to flatcar and critter is repositioned.

crap try again
-the boards next to the truck have been moved
- shack door in front of caboose is now closed
-barrel removed on railcar that man is now standing up straight
-man standing up straight on rail car
- there is a brake wheel on red rail car
-paper in the area where boards were shuffled
- box car turned end for end
- red spot on same car man is now standing straight is gone or lite is turned off pillar under the right front corner roof

I'm off to bed now. Here are some thoughts. There is no 'paper' involved near the boards. Don't know what that was. There is NO answer involving lights or lamps. Blacksmith in red shirt is NOT an answer. Camera angle just shows him better/or different. What I am seeing is that between you all 7 things are correct. Some studying tonight to decipher your competitors answers to your own is needed. No one has found the last difference. I realize not all monitors are created equal so maybe a magnifying glass will be needed to tell the diff on the last problem. Night! Jim :)

Thanks Jim for your explanation, knew there would be a logical reason. Okay so am now back to looking and checking and loosing untold amounts of sleep lol

Does that mean I have an advantage HAHA, HEHE, HAWHAW, 'cause I've got another 7 or 8hrs of wakey, wakey time before I need to go to bed.
