My doctor gave me a copy of an ad for Skelaxin (no idea what that is) that had some back exercises on it. They're not very stressful, but they'll work the back quickly and you'll notice results in a day or two.
 
I have used back exercises for a number of years. Not nearly enough. If one has a really bad back, I fear that these will do no good. I'm lucky my back is good. My hip is another matter. Getting that replaced. To bad they can't do that to the back. I hope you get back to feeling "GOOD".

Thanks guys. After 35 years of bad back I've tried everything. I have some more xrays to take come Monday. Hope that can find something. Jim:confused:

Any decision on the tie spacing?
What is the spacing and length on the ME flex vs. other brands of HO?
Just trying to get some perspective.
 


Sherrel, I'm not ignoring you, I've been very busy with another project I'm trying to finish for a local modeler and I only have 2 more hours to finish it. I've read your emails and enjoyed seeing Pete's work.

As for tie spacing I will go with Atlas Code 83 or 100. The 100 matches my Peco short turnouts. I hate the 100 look for HO and it is passable for On30. When it comes to crunch time late next month it will probably me Code 83.

If I remember correctly Atlas Code 83/100 in 36 inches long as is ME flex. I think Peco is a meter. Not sure about that however.

Shinohara/Wathers code 83 is 1 Meter. It's good stuff and is a double slider (both rails slip through the ties) thus much easier to work than Atlas. A bit more pricey also..
 
JPIII, Good info. I knew someone made track in meter lengths.

The extra 3 inches of track is not earth shattering info but the double sliding rail makes the Shinohara flex track pleasure to use.
 
JPIII, I have a question: How come my LHS gives a cold shoulder to Shinohara flex? I have seen the track and it looks pretty good to me. I know nothing of availability or profit margins that may be the reason why. Any thoughts? Anyone? Jim :)
 
Nor does my LHS carry it and their PECO is way pricey. That's OK by me. I found all I need NIB or used (very lightly) on Evilbay for less than the cost of Atlas (before the shortage)......TOs also. I'm now bout done laying tack.....maybe 4 feet to go when the local weather goes to **** in a handbasket. Salmon season in less than a month:D.

I've seen only a few Black bears in the boonies around here. They are just as afraid of us as we are of them.....tho you don't wanna tussle with em'. The Grizzlies in the state are now up North in the High Cascades.....they don't play well with strangers and were eliminated down this way.

The bears ya see fishing on the tube are Kodiak Brown bears......waaay up North in Alaska and are best given all the room they want.
