Is this the old theater matinee cliff hanger? Tune in next week to see if the PCM&T is untied from the tracks and rescued from Snidely Whiplash. - Chris

OK, Jim ... You're forcing my hand.
I've been toying with the idea of riding the train from Oceanside to SD.
If you would PM me your address, or if you don't want too, call me so I can see if its feasible or best to drive.
I'll see if I can cram it in this week.
Son in law, Marine Corp is getting in about midnight after being away from home here for past six months
Next couple days will be full.

Stoker, Only the Shadow knows. (If you are old enough)

Sherrel, The train and my house are about 17 miles apart. If you are driving to Oceanside it is more logical to drive to my house in Santee, about 40 minutes, and then drive home completing the circle. I'm free all day tomorrow, Thur, or Fri afternoon. :) Jim

You know Stoker, that might not be a bad guess. If memory serves, the only draw back that I have heard Jim make is that the tunnel portals are too small. He very well could keep the bulk of the track, make the tunnels larger, and he always likes to make or bash new buildings and scenery. Yep, I think you might be on to something. - Chris

I can hear the suspense music playing now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,getting a little louder,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a little louder,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a little louder,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a little louder,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and he decided?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he decided?,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he decided?

You guys are too funny! Actually, the issue is my health right now. I'm feeling quite low. Mostly it is my back and now a tooth ache. I'm even thinking about cancelling my open house on August 28. It is part of the National Narrow Gauge Convention a 110 miles away from me. Not sure why anyone would want to make that drive, but who knows? I would hate to cancel, but like I said, I'm not doing to well for the last month and I don't see an end in sight.

On a TV note. I really only watch football, rugby, and golf on the TV. Never saw American Idol or anything like that. The ONLY scheduled primetime show I watch is 'Survivor.'

I'm so out of it these days using Vicodin to control pain I thought yesterday's post was made on Thursday, which is tomorrow. Let me get through this weekend for more news. I'm just not "feeling it" right now. Sorry, Jim:(

Hope you are feeling better soon. I can relate to the back issues, they put me on disability. Just take care and keep us informed. Prayers to you.

Bill

Thanks Bill. Here's a photo I just took to prove I'm not dead. It is the mostly finished weathering project of the loco pictured a few pages back. Jim:eek:

Love the photo of #44. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I need still to touch base with you, but California after me for my 2011 tax return, so been trying to tie it together in next couple days.

My cousin Scott .. DJ for KFrog .. Said that he watched the Kardashuns (spelling) for the first time and he now knows what Hell will be like, LOL. Wife has me interested in some British detective shows on KCET .. Foyle's War and George Gently are a couple .. There are more, but won't boor you.

Jim, old #44 is another testimony to your wide range of talent. Sorry to hear that your health is not at it's best. I also hope you're not still trying to play softball, much less shortstop. You know, August 28th is a long time away, I'm sure you'll feel better by then, and think about all those disappointed Narrow Gaugers. Again, hope you feel better. - Chris

When you're feeling crook Jim, I know the last thing you need is some old wise-ass giving you cheek. Hope you get over it soon. American Idol and all those type shows FYI, have developed the habit of leaving long silences when announcing winners supposedly to increase the suspense, all it does is increase annoyance.

By the way, I've found when you're suffering pain somewhere a good treatment is to hit your finger with a hammer-----takes your mind right off the other pain.

Hey Jim I have the same loco, and back pain too!
I find washing the pain killers down with a shot of "Gibson's Finest" goes a long way...
Hope you're feeling better soon!
