hello all,
have not been on in a while. ive attached a picture of a bridge im working on.
it was the 495 beltway overpass built by vdot(virginia department of transportation) for the washington old dominion railroad.(now the w&od regional park trail). im need to find out if anyone knows about this type of construction? does it have a recessed track? i think by looking at it, it has open
girder design with a concrete deck. but im not sure. also does anyone know if they make those style bridge supports? ive started scratch building them, just in case.
thanks for any info.

The ones I've seen have recessed and ballasted decks.
I've never seen an open deck over a roadway, but that doesn't mean they don't do it.
