Benchwork legs straight to floor or angled to wall

My self layout is 8 to 24” deep. Cantilevered from the wall except for 1 2’ x 3’ incursion into the aisle. There are 2 legs on the floor there. The wall is poured concrete so I used a hammer drill and tapcoms

I'm wondering if I can cantilever with 1"x3".

My frame work is 1x3 with 2” foam glued to it. One layout I am helping build uses 1x2 cantilevered from the wall. I’ve always thought we overbuild our framework.

would love to see a pic. All I have is circular saw and jigsaw to make cuts.

If you want workspace under the bench you can go for the fairly standard 56" track height, it puts the tracks more or less at eye level while standing.

Agreed.
In fact around here, we do not use any frame at all.
Our roadbed, the module facia, and the landscape IS the frame.
Spans are '4.
Think unibody car vs full frame car...
