It has beed a long time since I wrotwe anything here so I will statr as a new guy again.Got a 12x16 layout I start when I had grand kids that were inerested here in Salt Lake. That time has gone so I so I desided to go buck upstairs and start with my layout again.Boy was that a lot of work with al the dust and not remembering everyting.anyway here is my problem.

1.Layout has 3 Auto Reverse 2 Work as designed most of the time.the other one never works on one end.
I have tried DIGITRAX AR1, MRC 500, DIGITRAX BXPA1, all the sameonly one end.
I have removed the wiring complety on that one loope installed in new to make sure there was not a problem some where.
Installed new wire one side from track then added one leed from other side down fro m the rubber joint.the loco;pass over this end great but when they get to the other end where the ruber joints are it stopes ded every time with every type ov auto reverse.There is power on the other side of the joint from another main sourse of power not the one being usede by the auto reverse. used track power to supply auto reverse as well a main electrical run aall by its self still the same
PLEASE THIS THONG HAS BEE DRIVING ME CRAZY FOR A MONTH

A track diagram would be a great help, but as I recall the AR has to have the same power source for it as the loop, not two different ones.

Also a MRC 500 is a conventional DC power pack the Digitrax AR-1 is an auto-reverser for DCC power NOT DC, same for the Digitrax BXPA1 it is for DCC.
 


This is his 2nd post. His first post back in 2012 described his new DCC layout and problems with his AR1 auto-reverse circuit. So DCC it appears, if he ever comes back to this thread. RioGrande51, if you are listening, a track plan would be most helpful so we can collectively solve your issue.
