hey all.
still new here and new to the hobby. hopefully i won't tire you all with stupid questions.
but alas, tonight i discovered the existence of the bachmann dummy couplers. i'm just wondering if anybody has any experience with these, and if anyone could lend insight on how easy or difficult they are to install.
we're planning to expand our collection, but currently my two locomotives and four freight cars all run on rapido couplers. i think these dummy couplers might be the solution for the rolling stock. it would also allow me to get some older rolling stock and have the option of making them at least semi-current (we're on a pretty tight budget, so we look for bargains).
mostly i'm just wondering if a novice such as myself can install them by hand without any special tools. also. there seem to be different sizes, but i'd assume the economy pack should work just fine?
thanks,
fc
