Atlas N Scale S2 - Decoder?

I purchased 2 of Atlas's N scale S2 locos. They are of the 'Silver' category. Somewhere I read these locomotives have some sort of connector that a DCC decoder could fit. I've searched for both technical info on them (Atlas website - I could only find where you can purchase remaining locomotives) but haven't found any specific decoder or info.
Can anyone provide some info or at least point me in the right direction? Appreciate everyone's help!

Which DCC system do you use?

The basic decoder capabilities to run the loco, lights, sounds, etc. will work with any DCC system, but other capabilities, such as transponding may depend on what DCC system you have, and whether your decoder has the same method/protocol.

I used the Digitrax duplex system on the layout. Haven’t made it to the point of using transposing yet

If you have no intention of using the transponding, then the brand of decoder won't really matter.

But if you think you might later, it would be a good idea to go with Digitrax decoders.

Any brand decoder will run the loco & lights, sounds (if a sound decoder), etc.
