Athearn new announcement CSX SD40-2 paint scheme?

[blue92rs]

Hello everyone! Havent been around in a while... working alot! Does anyone know which paint scheme the new athearn sd40-2 CSX locomotives will be? They were announced last december and should be arriving in May. The website only shows one pic for 8815 in the yn2 scheme, but does not show pix for cab #s 8888 and 8864. I have seen prototype pixs of these locos in both paint schemes and I have Been looking forward to an SD40-2 in the new yn3 dark future scheme. Thanks!

The other 2 roadnumbers will most likely be in the same YN2 paint as the one that does have the pic. If they were going to do a different paint scheme for the other 2 numbers, they would show a pic...

Yes, that one's kind of "famous".

"47 MPH. She was brought to a stop some 66 miles and three hours later"

I thought traffic was bad on long island

8888 should still be in yn2, I don't know why athearn or any manufactuer has yet to do a sd40/-2 in YN3 yet

I saw a SD40-2 on the CSX Charlotte Sub near my house in yn3. Looks sharp.

bachmann has released an sd40-2 in yn3. the scheme looks very sharp. If u dont like the way it runs u could always re-power it. you could also add a few extra details.

Interesting 8888 was originally Conrail 6410.
