I was fortunate enough to get a copy of Army Transportation Corps building plans from World War II. If in the event the war in Europe was to take longer then it did after the invasion, the Army drew up plans for buildings which would be built of lumber and tar paper. These buildings were called "Theater of Operations" buildings.
This included:
Engine Houses
Sheds
Railroad Piers
Layouts of Storage Yards
etc.
I can make copies of the plans by each building type. BUT, the plans were copied from the originals and when they are printed on my printer, the white portion is grey and some of the figure (dimensions) are hard to see.
I was at one time able to take them to a blueprint place and have an 8 1/2 X 11 picture blown up to blueprint size but that is too costly now ($20/sheet).
If you are interested in obtaining copies of a particular building please note that it may take as many as 5 sheets to get the complete construction plan.
A. Framing
B. Window Type
C. Door Type
D. Electrical
E. Heating
I'd appreciate a little something to cover my time. I feel that $3.00 for postage, copying and downloading are sufficient. Prepaid gift certificates for FOOD are great forms of payment.
If you want more info, please contact me via e-mail and I will send you a sample and listing of the building types.
These structures are unique in the fact that most were NEVER built. This would be great for someone interested in modeling a military scene in Europe during World War II using 2-8-0 Consolidation Locomotives and such.
