First time poster here. We had this as a kid. Merc tube went under that chrome metal guard on top. It looks to be missing the nameplate with the speed read out printed on it. Is the Tube still available? How common was this power supply? thanks, Brian
It went with a big heavy black train. We had a log loader. Load it along one siding. And dumped them on the other side. The dump car had an electromagnet under it? I think this train puffed smoke or was it the blue flyer may be a “Flyer”. Another possible name was a Royal something I think the blue train ran on AC or DC, whereas the black one needed the cool purple glowing rectifier tube.
