Finished up cutting the twigs for this pulp wood flat. I've dumped it by accident a couple times now in the process of building the load $##%&@#$@!.
Ken: I have two of BAR 40 foot bulkhead flats that need loads. Nothing beats real wood for loads than the real thing. Tom headed me in the direction to cut some wood for my cars and wood piles. Next trip to the cabin I'll collect some branches to cut. I have a couple of spruce that are near to the cabin that could use some trimming.
I think I'll do a core of foam and mount the wood around the foam to reduce the weight of the finished car.
Greg
A foam core may make it more difficult to cut the twigs to the right length.

Ken I like it. The pulp wood looks great.
I do use foam for the core of my pulp loads but in Wisconsin the pulp is loaded sideways rather then across like yours.
When cutting HO scale pulp wood I found this unfortunately to be true. To have enough pulp wood for a load cut 10x’s the amount you think you need
Have fun

That looks real good! Be careful though, I can read the word after load!
$##%&@#$@ is very close to the Canadian version $##%&@##¥, I’ve had to use that a few times myself.
Looks great Ken, I need to make a couple dozen myself both length ways and crossways.
