I picked up a Malibu BMW 5-Series yesterday at Wal-Mart.

I also looked at the semi trucks again since they had a lot of Mercedes-Benz and Volvos in stock. I think that they look a touch on the big side though so I did not grab any of them. Maybe I'll go back later....

I bought 5 of them(of the diff. models) & I thought they looked bigger too.
A lot bigger than the first run of semi's. I don't set them next to the smaller ones.

Larry & Carl, the Malibu trucks are 1:87. All of recent run. Eye's play tricks, start measuring them and you'll see... However, the CXT is not.

Oh, on this subject, I got me a Mini Cooper, Ford Street Ka 2003, BMW 7 Series, Audi A6, Two VW vans, and a BMW Z4. Finally something new, no Reel Rides, or Trucks though.:(

Okay Josh, you talked me into it. :D I'll grab a few of them next time I get out to Wal-Mart. I'll have to keep my eyes open for the 7-series, Mini, and Audi too.

Lol, sounds good Carl. There are details on the vehicles that are slightly bulky, like the mirrors, but at least they HAVE mirrors, unlike the Hot Wheels 1:87 stuff, lol.

Hummer H2's - A while back I posted enquiring about the allegedly HO scale Hummer slot cars on another forum, and was advised to leave them severely alone as they are not to HO scale. Well, at the weekend I was poking about on fleabay and spotted a buy it now ad, and today these arrived. They appear to be made in China, by Hongwell - I thought I would post in case others are searching, but I have no idea where they can be bought. - they are about though! BTW the LPB ia an HO Preiser figure. I think the are slightly oversize for HO but will do for my purposes

Cheers

i have never seen the tricked out white BMer before...

Where'd you find those, Airslide?

I haven't had much luck at the Fayetteville Wal-Mart.

Rotor

i just got them at fayetteville walmart, today. looks like they got a new shipment. i had to stop myself at just 4. they have a 72(i think) aqua jag that was way slick.

My store just put some more out today. Got me a New Beetle Cabrio, and a Peugeot WRC car. No lick finding the panel vans Airslide posted, nor the VW SUV. No Reel Rides at the local stores, yet, nor Semi's.

the excavator certainly isn't. i think i can get away with the backhoe and others. and as already stated, there is no indication of the scale on the box.

The dozer is semi-close, still about 1:95 though. The backhoe, about 1:105, the Mini-loader, about 1:100, Excavator about 1:180/200...

The most usable are the mini-loader, and dozer, as there are prototypes similar, though not made by Cat.

I thought the backhoe would be useable as one of those bigger lawn tractors
that some folks have or maybe something at an equipment rental place.
There was a fella selling a smaller tractor with a bucket that was operated with a crank in the cab and a hoist with cables.
I wanted to buy it just for the snow......
