I was at my local Wal-Mart and they had these items on sale for a dollar each. Josh unfortuantely they sold out of all the John Deere Sets !!

Well dang, I guess I'll ignore them from now on! The person "quoted" was told by a CAT dealer that they never offered an XL D5...

Yeah the vans are on sale here too, 2 for $2.00 (helps sell more I guess [oh and the price, its good until the 2nd, then it drops more ;)]), the mini loader was JUST recently stocked so its not on sale, and there's FINALLY CAT equipment! I picked up a scraper & the water truck! I also got the LAST $49.00 John Deere set... :D

How about some Fresh Cherries

Got these at Wal-Mart today. They are HO scale.

There is one more Gremlin and the Pinto Cruizin' Wagon but the Wal-Mart I went to did not have them.

WOW Johnathan who makes them!? I'll have to watch for these so I can clear some of them out too!

On a side note, a night stocker found a case of the John Deere sets, and the price is supposed to drop more on Wed.

After reading about the new 1/87 Gremlin, Pacer, Pinto, and Escort yesterday, I visited Wal-Mart today but they didn't have the cars yet. These new cars actually come in three scales, offering much of the same models in all three scales. The Scales include 1:24, 1:64, and 1:87. The 1:64 scale models also include the Ford Maverick and the Ford Mustang II which I would love to see in 1:87th scale.
As a side note, Atlas is going to make a Ford Fairmont in HO and N scales.

I like the Pacer. I used to drive a 1975 Pacer X back in the 80's. Very tough cars. I wouldn't mind having a couple 1/87 scale ones for the layout.

They are in stock in my local wal-marts. Just have to come up with the extra $$ to get a few. I did find right after Christmas some of the Athearn John Deer tractors on sale for $1. So i got me 2. Not quite sure where they will fit in yet but for a buck each, who cares!! As for the tractor trailers, have seen some that where close to HO but where I bit big so I have passed them by for now.

Hi,

I've been following this thread for quite a while now, and have been keeping up with all the cars and trucks and all, but I just had to register and say:

AMC's!!!!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!

I have to go to my town's Wal-Mart, and see if they have the Pacers and Gremlins!!!!

For those that don't know, AMC Pacers and Gremlins were made right here where I live, Kenosha, Wisconsin!!! I remember seeing those cars ALL the time.

Now, I hope that company that is making those in H.O., will make 1969 AMX's, 1970 Machines, and 1970 SC Ramblers!!!!! How about a '73 or '74 Javelin, too.

just my 2 cents worth!!!!

No classis today, they're re-adjusting my store's toy section, to give Sporting good a whole isle for... Coolers! BUT they stocked 4 new Nascar cars! #8 (special paint), #48, $20, & #29. I'll avoid the #8 for two reasons, I really don't like him much, and they paint is the "edited store version" without the Bud logo's. The other 3 I plan to pick up on Thursday.

Who makes the best HO scale Semi Trucks? I'm looking for acurate looking models that I can super detail. Prefer Kenworth and Peterbilt brands, but will take any and all american trucks, Freightliner, Mack, International, volvo, etc etc

Im also going need some trailers. Ive looked at Lonestar models, man they have some nice stuff, BUT way to pricey.
I'll need a couple 48-53 foot trailers
a couple 53' Reefers
a couple 48' Flatbeds, both regular and stepdeck
as well as one or two 22' ish dump trailers..

Thanks for the help everybody!
