I love this idea but I am wondering why not choose a single cell lipo
battery?
A small voltage booster to bring the voltage up to 12v
so a standard loco does not need to be re-powered ?

The branch ends in Georgetown, Washington D.C., at Georgetown Yard. The team track yards were divided into the "Old Yard" and the "New Yard".
Here I have poured all the concrete for the New Yard and K Street. Wisconsin Ave. starts to ramp up the steep hill in Georgetown at the end of the yard...

Here is the E.C. Keys Warehouse and coal trestle. Served by a single track that ramps up a 4% grade
from the branch line, the warehouse was used for general construction materials.
The warehouse is just a temporary cardboard cutout and the coal pit will be weathered down once

Here is a prototype shot of the Dalecarlia tunnel. On the model I am running a passenger Geep but

Thank you Steve,
It is a lot more comfortable to work on with the room finished. I also don't feel so bad if it just sits.

The conversion to CNC was done in my shop and I posted a build thread at CNCZone.com here...

Well it has been almost a year since I did anything to the railroad. I considered removing it several times as I walked by and saw the unfinished mess.
Instead I decided to remodel and finish up the bench work once and for all.

Nice! I always thought it would be cool to draw hills/mountains in 3d and then CNC them into blocks of foam.

Hi guys, First post here.
I developed a thin shelf bracket system for my railroad using cut down double shelf standards and U shaped brackets.
Total thickness is 4.75"
You can see it on my blog here:
