Joe & George- ShopRite was getting expensive(outside of their CanCan sales) before I moved up here. I can only imagine what it’s like now. *correction* I just looked at their online ad, so I don’t need to imagine. Their prices seem to rival Festival Foods up here, if not higher.

My wife doesn’t like when I shave off the beard(only happens when I mess up trimming it). The only shaving I do is my neck(up to the underside of the beard) & soul patch under my bottom lip.

Unless AT&T is a small town media company, we’ll have to agree to disagree.

Louis- in what world is Houston a small market team? Rays, maybe, but certainly not Houston(they are the #5 metro area & #8 media market). Better examples might be Milwaukee or San Diego.

Dave(MN)- Mom gave me a few eggplants that I’m going to attempt a hand at making moussaka(they only way I’ll eat that veg) tomorrow. Got a recipe from a schoolmate of Greek heritage(her aunt gave her a Greek cookbook back in the mid-90’s). Hughie- we got a dose of “farmer’s rain”(as our local...

Chad- sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad to prostate cancer as well. Sounds like their journeys were similar, other than age(Dad was diagnosed at 49 & lost his battle at 51). My aunt(his RN sister) was taking the trains down from NYC every weekend at end.

After the first half of the day at the farmer’s market(successful enough that MOH made more money than if she had gone to work for 8 hours), she rewarded me with a visit to a LHS after a “fun” visit with vision therapy. Walked away with a Soo covered hopper & a BSA box car. I will post pictures...

Even worse when you have to drive 45 minutes to get to said appointment. I’m glad that my HCP finally has a small clinic(opened right before the pandemic) in town(no Drs, just PAs) that I can go to for labs.

Curt/Jeff- I had an uncle who was in/out of jail & rehab for drugs & alcohol abuse from his teens thru most of his adult life. He, too, had 3 DUIs & lost his license for 10 years(NJ had to go back to 1972 to find a 3rd conviction). Every time that he tried to get clean, my mom would help him get...

Tom- in the decade I’ve lived up here, Suicide Alley has been more Central to Vine. The CN mainline is now single-tracked from Cedar Ave to the Town of Spencer(just east of Biewer Lumber).
