Mine the letter is a bit thinner but may depend on what RR that last one (2) is cast and very heavy
-
I remember those we used them for crossing protection that had the cantilever out over the street
If I remember the base was about 5 or 6 inch thick by 5 x 5 ft so much fun
Here's what happens when a car decides to meet up with a crossing gate

Sherrel got you beat mines a 2003 Ford Ranger extended cab with 52,436 mi on it It's gonna outlast me
-
Chris You need one of those signs
You Break It You Pay For It
-
That first one looks to be in bad shape no saving it And that set up on your first one I've never seen before with the gears like that
That last one in the first picture from Mel sure looks like it could have been the same set up He just wanted a can motor
Also I never had a cab forward...

That's about as good as it gets You do exceptional work Just enough to make it look real without over doing it
Maybe a tad more on the trucks but not overdo it
-
Chris if you go to the source quote "We suggest that you use acetone (nail polish remover without any scent) to clean-up your airbrush and paint cups. This dries quickly and removes all residual Tru-Color Paint cleanly." Not that Mr hobby Thinner 400 that stuff is Lacquer Thinner...

Yep however he would have to take it apart to see maybe something in the gears stopping it from turning
-
Willie is dead on that is a Athearn SD50
-

That's why I said show that video to the owner Let him decide He or she may say go for it
Even if you can't fix It's not working now so nothing lost
-
Agree with Sherrel show that video to the owner and just do it Looks simple enough even if you could find a motor You would have to take it apart If you have electronics know how you're half way there
-
Sherrel take a look at Lowe's they have a Forno Galiano side by side they are different sizes
-
I've been around real rr's for about 40 years and those are about the best I've seen anyone do Great job
-
Chris that's still not a bad price those 4-6-4 Varney are pretty rare here's diagram https://hoseeker.org/assemblyexplosionvarney/varney464pg2.jpg some of those came with a motor designed and built by Bob Lindsay
It was a 7 pole motor with ball bearings It was a Varney V-3 There was...

Sherrel That's a rangemaster toledo 110 made in England they are sold here in the states under AGE brand https://www.agarangeusa.com/
go to that site and click on find a dealer https://www.agarangeusa.com/find-a-dealer there are a few close to you
-
Smudge probably a Varney and they did make a 4-6-4 it was a brass & die cast model the tender was probably bought separate
I think the motor was a DC-71 or something close Bowser used those also
picture
-
They probably do but once the water reaches 3200 ppm you do not add any more salt If you don't check the salinity level it's just a pool with salt in it Not a true salt water pool
You know a picture is worth a thousand words how about a couple just for fun
-
I used it the same way till it got taken down You've got a good looking layout going there
Was at menards the other day and 4x8 sheet up to $34 a sheet
-
That wire is for powering the frog only in analog operation
