Yes, never expected it to last this long. Not that it was used daily or even weekly. Really expected the tank to be the point of failure. No idea of its heritage when I found it. It was a fun project and advanced as parts became available. The wheels came from a lawnmower I found on the tree...

Turned out the be a nice day today. In fact the best day this year. Cloudy this morning. Sun came out in the afternoon and temp up to 55. Good time to vacuum out the car and wash the salt encrusted floor mats. Noticed the tires were a little soft so plugged in the air compressor in the garage...

When I was installing track for my layout, i used a Peco curved turnout. All the diesels went through it without any issues but the only steamer I had, a Bachmann 2-8-0, would ever so slightly occasionally lift up going through smaller radius direction. All the wheels were in gauge, ran the...

Meatloaf is one of my favorite comfort foods. My high school cafeteria had one of the best meatloafs. Serving over 1500 meals per day, the cafeteria staff had some very talented cooks. Should have asked them for a copy of their recipe back then.

Been implementing a minor lighting update to the layout. I have a factory which I installed interior led lighting previously. Decided to add lighting to the loading dock as an enhancement. All my structures have connectors inside the buildings so I don't have to get under the layout to take...

Did get a chance to spend a little time downstairs with the trains. Ended up with 6" accumulation which is less than predicted. OK with me, however Providence, RI got a record breaking 32".

Currently 25 degrees here in Western Mass in the midst of a bomb cyclone blizzard. Expected 8-12" of the white stuff, winds gusting 35-50 mph at times. Expected to wind down late afternoon. Nobody out except for snow plows.

The other day I was here on the forum. The tv was on and not really paying attention to it. While reading through the posts, something familiar came from the tv-not the picture but the sound. A Chevrolet commercial was on and the jingle was familiar to me. "See the USA in your...

I use them on my layout on some of the yard tracks. Very convenient since I use them to control dwarf signals, indicating whether the straight through or diverging route is selected. They should work well for your intended application.
