Couplers
Guys,
I have been working on the coupler issue. The biggest problem is that this system is scale based, not like RTR so nothing has ever been developed for it by the coupler manufacturers. Why put out something for a product that doesn't exist?
So I have emailed Sargent and I...

Josh,
I think they are all the longer version on this kit.

Jeff,
Nobody has done a scale based coupler with a scale shank yet. Its something being worked on, I have been contacting some of the existing coupler suppliers to see if they want to pick this project up, they make versions for just about everything now, why not a scale shank that will be a...

Treads
Hey,
Randy should note that he cut off the anti-climber portion of the treads. This is one part with the ends. He had his details in place before the laid down the tread-plate and therefore cut it.

Hey
Guys,
I'm back after a marathon of packaging. Our last few walkway modules that were held up by some photo-etch are all fully shipped, a lot of new arrivals are on the way to Walthers (note: Walthers is stocked very low on the new stuff as they've cut their quantities on initial orders)...

Hi,
I have a correction for the pilots, I would use 6052 for the front and a Canadian 4 step version that is modified for the rear.
Thanks.

Nysw F45
Hi,
I have some answers for you. You would have to cobble the unit together with my products but its possible. A few guys are building straight SD40's with my frame, I have the treads and pilots in stock to do so. This would not be any different.
I would use the GP D2 frame...

Trucks
Randy,
Our first two truck kits will be the HTC and Blomberg M versions. Due to the multi-media construction additional prototypes will follow.
The triple clasps are something that could be offered with this product line. We have a pre-order set up to help fund development on the...

Cabs
Hi,
NYSW
Right now we just have the GMDD Wide Cab which is completed its plastic tooling. The photo-etch is my task this week to get it wrapped up and the glass cut for the cab.
We'll release the cab when these final parts arrive. All of the plastic except for the main body is...

New Stuff
Guys,
I have a bunch of new items ready to go:
Air Tanks. They come with GP Split, SD Split, and Standard tanks. The split versions replicate the GMDD versions with center mounted fuel fillers such as the GP38-2 spartan cab equipped CNR units and SD40's. Product numbers 6200...

Out of stock items...
Randy,
Your initial portion of the order is in the mail as of tomorrow. It was the non-Railflyer parts that are back-ordered. Thanks for the email and we have things worked out.
All the best.

Trucks
Guys,
I'm working on new trucks that fit Athearn side-frames as an short term solution with the long term mounting our own side-frames.
The issues are that none on the market are to scale with too much width and overly long gear boxes on the SD units to make them work.
Overland...

Bundles
Randy,
That is exactly what we do in the form of "bundles". You specify the road number and we will match the correct parts.
If you want a NW SD40-2 XXXX we will match the correct frame and fuel tank. Next we offer a detail bundle that will give you the correct coupler plates...

Randy,
I cannot make packages for locomotives and name them ATSF SD40-2 123" Snoot for example. There are too many variations and it has to be more specific than that.
For example:
SD40-2W
There are numerous variations and for this post I will use just the walkway down for the...

Side Sill Options
Jay,
The side sills on EMD/GMDD locomotives are an interesting study. This might help you out in figuring out what my titles mean.
The side sills vary widely (you will not see this in RTR) and can be classified by the notch position on both sides if present, the step...

Updates
Hi Guys,
I just got back late last night from the show. We're trying to get things sorted out and our back orders shipped. The new stuff looks awesome however we do not have all of it. I'll be spending most of the week finishing up the details of this production run.
The new...

I'm back...
Guys,
Sorry its been busy and its only getting worse. Our baby is due in less than 40 days. Our first batch of new photo-etch components and new items that are related to the walkway modules are arriving sometime after 08-17-2007. A second batch of stage etching is in...
