    Venetian Blind load

Thanks for the inspiration @ctclibby. The blinds looked reasonable but I couldn't resist making a 3d printed version. 3 tapering 40' sections.

    Venetian Blind load

@ctclibby Prefect. I forgot about those. Those look like they are on a open container so that should count. Thanks

    Venetian Blind load

Made from a broken window blind rod. What do you think? Could this make a realistic load? If so should it be chained down or tied with cables? How much dunnage should I put under it?

    TRACK CLEANING

I've burnished some of my track with the fender washer. Usually I'll just take a block of wood and clean the problem spots. Unfortunately I go for weeks at a time without using it and have a fireplace in the same room that get's used sometimes. I'll also occasionally run the CMX around with...

Yet another way to make wrapped lumber loads (feedback please)

The technique appears to work well with n-scale tool. Bought this bulk head flat car by Wheels of Time. Nice looking little car. Just might have to make a little switching layout for it.

Thanks @PMW. That one is a gel ball point pen. The right is upholstery thread. The bundle is made from printed cardstock and painted with matte medium.

Working on another way to make custom wrapped lumber loads. What's your opinion on which looks better?

Running Bear's March 2025 Coffee Shop

Decided to add some removable bunks to my bulk head flat cars. The initial version is compatible with several Walthers mailing cars while the latest I-beam version still needs some work for thr GCS car but works on the Pullman. Interested in feedback. In my quick research bunks builds seem to...

Anyone interested in another wrapped Lumber Load video? Less than $1 per load.

I've come up with a simple way to create custom wrapped lumber loads in any scale and created a short video to showcase that. I'm wondering how much interest there is in this topic.

What ballast/products do I need to create a river scene like this?

You might consider ground walnut shells used for reptile cages. I got some from the Zilla brand and was able to stain it. Then you can change the colors to what you want. The images look pretty close to what it looks like already.

    HO Grain Elevators

I can get you something that I have later. Was pricing out the silos and ended up doing a single wall FDM outline. Took a while to print but was cheaper than pipe. Is scratch building an option? Have you looked at this? https://www.modelbuildings.org/gray-grain-elevator/
