Will this building be to big for my 2x4' layout? (When it's put togather)
I don't want it to take over the layout.
Should I just stick with this one?
Are you trying to make an engine house? If so, the ME model should ift the space fine by the lookof the roof laying next to the track. Of course, you should add another switch and track since it's a two stall engine house. Whatever that is in the bottom picture appears to be some kind of trackside building but not an engine house.
No, I have decided not to do an engine house.
If I use the ME building would be made into a trackside warehouse also. That kit comes with 4 roll up doors you can put anyware you like.
OK, in that case, yes, the building would be too big. You can kitbash it by cutting that roof straight down the middle and then cutting the walls to fit so you have a flat roof 1/2 size warehouse. Those ME kits are pretty easy to modify and the size would be much more in keeping with a small layout.
That's a heck of an idea. Thank you!
I had thought about cutting the length down but it would be harder.
