Hey Forum peeps

What do you think about Z Scale?

People that know Z Scale, i have some questions?

Is there a big variety of Z Scale American Locos?
Is there enought rolling stock around?

If i would like to make a "small" Z Scale Layout, what would be a nice looking radius of a curve for a longer Train?
What do you think?

I model in H0 Scale and also in N Scale, but i was wondering if i maybe would start a small Z Scale Project on maybe:

1x 120x60cm or 2x 120x60cm

And i think Z Scale is mostly DC? There are no DCC Engines? Or am i wrong?
And yes just so you know, ia also own a Z Scale Big Boy ;)

Cheers
Jay

I don’t know a lot about this scale but I do know if you like long unit trains running thru big sweeping vistas this is the scale for you. A friend dabbled in it for awhile but this was back when you had a choice of two locomotives and a few railcars. Z scale like most other scales has come a long way over the years, there’s so much more variety.
There’s a hobby shop in Calgary Alberta that occasionally lists Z stuff on Feebay, Trains N Such.

I don't really follow Z scale that much, but when I was into N scale I did.

It appears to have come a long way in the last few years. There is a good amount of American locos and rolling stock available.

Here is one source I remember that launches many new "modern" products throughout the year.
