About that time I tore down the HO and N ovals I had up and started a HO only 52” x 8’ double oval…

First big curve and some electric installation…. recycled lamp cords ( old clock radios - lamps - hair dryers - basically anything that had a plug ) for the bus wire… feeder is the wire scavenged from the dryer…free is good

Much of the under layout deck framing came from an set old IKEA pine bed slats that I found on garbage day lying at the sidewalk one morning walking the dog in the predawn hours.. it was rolled up in mint condition.. my first thought was camping firewood..this was before trains were on my horizon, but I had just got back into camping…in any event, it went into the layout…I used up all the IKEA boards with a scrap piece leftover
