The works kit from Walthers

I saw the nice steel mill layout in the newest model railroad planning magazine but it seems the works kit by Walthers is out of production. Does anyone know if it will ever be produced again?
 
Walthers claims that when there is "sufficient demand" (by their definition not ours), they'll do another run of the Blast Furnace kit in HO. There have been rumours floating around for the past year or 2 that they're "almost ready" to do another Blast Furnace run, but thats all they are - rumours.

Walthers seems to be focusing all their steel mill-related efforts on N scale these days.

The best person to direct your question to would be John Glaab, the owner of Peach Creek Shops ( http://peachcreekshops.com/ ). He owns the mill layout in MRP, and has connections with Walthers and many other model manufacturers.

Heck I wouldn't mind doing it in N scale but I'll email some folks and see what I can find. Thanks for the links all.
