as im getting ready to start the the track laying and wiring i want to look into getting a solder gun but wasnt sure what type and wattage i was wondering if this radio shack model http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062735
would be a saficiant soldering gun for modeling uses such as soldering track and wires. i didnt want to get anything real expensive because i would use it much i would think and i wanted something electrical not butane

You'll get what you pay for. I personally don't like RS products.

Go to a Lowes or Home Depot and get a Weller. You'll pay a little more but it will be worth it.

would a weller thermal boost solder kit be a good choice it appears too go up to 130 watts?

sry if it seem like im asking to many questions...
