Colorado Midland Modeler

Proudly modeling the CM, MT & SL in HO Scale
I've been meaning to post this one for awhile, I built this at the end of October of '24. For anyone not familiar with him, there is a singer whose music I enjoy a lot by the name of Paul Thorn, and he has a song called "Mission Temple Fireworks Stand", and I thought that it would make for an interesting layout structure. This is the result of my project, and the techniques I used can be used to build almost any shaped/sized tent in almost any scale. First, I cut a base to the shape and size I wanted out of cardstock, (in this case, the footprint is about 3"x3") next, I built a frame out of craft sticks that are about the same size as match sticks. After that, I hot glued some suitable scrap fabric to the frame, trimmed it to size and cut the entry flap. Last, but not least, I made the sign and mounted it.
