Real Railroads / Model Railroads & funny stuff

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

You reckon if you used 55 code rail and stacked it, so only the rails on the sides and top were present, with some short bits to fill in the ends, an HO model of this could be made to work?

I've seen one unloading years ago and was amazed how that rail snakes off those cars to the ground. Never would think something like that can flex so much yet not have a bunch of bends in it from the unloading.

I couldn't see the cars very well, are they articulated? Usually, they are regular flat cars with the rail bunks spaced so the distance between them on the car and between the cars is the same distance. This car has several long spaces and then a short gap. Anyway, I'd like to see the empty car if you get a chance.
