After waiting two and half years for one lot of pre-ordered items and ten months on another news has arrived.

Like waiting for a bus for ages, then three turn up together, the news is the items are in this country and payment is required.
Now shall I tell Dawn a large sum of money is going out of our account, or not?
Shall I keep quiet and say nothing and when the items arrive sneak them into the train room?

Should I buy Dawn some flowers then tell her?

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions.

I can empathize. I've been waiting nearly four years for Jägerndorfer to release the ÖBB Rh 1822. All I hear are a lot of promises but no action.

I would certainly hope your wife will understand waiting years for these releases and not put up too much of a fuss.
 
Terry for the most part understands. But occasionally will ask, did you spend all your PayPal? Best to come clean.

Now that I remember, last year I had 82 Scaletrains reefers show up in 3 boxes and she asked how many were mine and the answer was only 4. I had paid with the credit card on like Thursday and the boxes appeared on Monday. I only told her I used the credit card on Monday. But she already knew 5 minutes after I paid the bill with my Capital One that almost immediately notifies her of any payment made with it. I was unaware of that until that day

Ha. Ha. Dawn knows the same. A different company, but they notify her almost immediately.
A "Have you just spent XXX pounds on some railway items." gives me away.

It's always okay; though sometimes she says, "Have you not got enough stuff already?"
"Err, no."

If It's Accurascale don't hold your breath, I got an email saying it was time to pay, I did it the same night, that was in October 2023, and I'm still waiting

No, it is Rails of Sheffield. I have dealt with them before. Hoping for a similar service.

Edit:- I have told Dawn. Well sort of. I haven't said how much.
 
The impossible just happened. I got an email from Union Modellbahn saying the Jägerndorfer ÖBB Rh 1822 was now available.

I couldn't order it fast enough. This one has sound and I can't wait to hear what it sounds like, as this is one locomotive I have never heard other than just rumbling by at speed in brief YouTube clips.

It's hard to believe it has finally been released.

Today I received news Rails of Sheffield wanted payment for the pre-order I made through Hatton's. They say the items are in the U.K..
Within seconds of paying, Dawn knew! A shake of her head, I knew it was okay. :cool:🤣
