Re-do of backdrop done - a couple of coats of clear flat and back on the module... Work continues on Bar Mills Tory Hill Lumber kit.

Last few days added a few more details to the Tory Hill kit office and built the elevated kerosene tank structure. Spent the afternoon sorting and organizing wood strips and sheets and transferring some rolling stock project stuff from cardboard boxes to plastic storage containers.

Pine Flat Lumber Co. (nee Tory Hill) is about wrapped up for now. Still lots of work to be done, but it will occupy a conspicuous place on the shelf of orphans until it finds its place on the dio.

Nice look group of engines. Did you need to change the gears on the Bachmann Climax? I have on and the gears went out in 2 months...now it is a static display in my engine house. My the engine crew can change the gears. The Bachmann Shay also looked good to me; but it too suffered from the cheap plastic gearing

I think I ran it twice before we took down the old layout 3 years ago. I'm aware of the gear situation, so probably, like you, I'll use it for photo ops... On the old layout, I used the mogul and ten-wheeler to move cars around the mill and an Atlas S2 for switching the rest of the layout. Its a real work horse.

Looks a little like Fos' Burdick Freight Dock. I built the kit and it does fit between 2 parrallel tracks being 1-inch x 6-inches. I didn't think it would fit at first; but it does and I like it.

Corrugated "tin" roofing was, and still is, a very common item in East Texas. Fireproof, durable, and reusable, it was often required by insurers. Plans are for most of the structures at Pine Flat to have this style of roofing. So.. practice, practice, practice...
