Conrail Quality
Finally decided to add a controlled siding to the mainline. The interlocking ended being more complex than I expected.

Great layout. And, like Rico I like that long run of trackage!!! What are the dimensions of your layout?

Thanks! It’s about 8 feet wide and about 50 feet long with a coal mine on one end and a curved yard on the other.( you can just see the yard in the picture waaaay off in the distance.) There is also a yard on a peninsula out of view to the right.
 
Thanks for the info on the size of your layout. I just noticed that you have a large investment in Auto-rack carriers being pulled by that locomotive.

They’re Walthers kits from the 90’s. Never ran them on my old layout because of the tight curves. Forgot that I even had them until I re-discovered them a few months ago. It was like Christmas!

In fact, I just found this car in a box of brand new buildings!! Sweet!
