Mail Call! Railway Post Office, commonly abbreviated as RPO has rolled in!

I may have to get one in Rio Grande.... Beautiful!

Hey, I didn't even know they were going to make these, but the KM ML4000s are available in Rio Grande! Both sound and no sound!

I hit up a couple local shops the other week. I finally decided to cash out the reward points at one of them, as I'll be moving out of the area in the near future. They had put out what appeared to be some "new old stock" items, including this set of Cotton Belt PC&F boxcars, which I think has been out of production for a few years. Then at a second shop, I found the Toledo, Peoria & Western boxcar back in the used department, even though it appears to have never been opened.

Some years ago when I lived in Illinois, about one a month I'd drive past the former TP&W mainline in the small town of Chatsworth. Sitting by their main street is an old restored bay-window caboose, lettered for the TP&W. One of the worst railroad accidents in the US occurred near there in 1887.

All great finds! I definitely like the Cotton Belt 3 pack! Nice! TPW that one there is a nice looking car.

Postie made another delivery today, I bought an Oxford Models £20 "Mystery" box, as I'd heard so much about them. I can use the Tanker and the Volvo (front centre) on the layout others are too "new" nevertheless, they are really nice models.

I also bought two more Intermodel well cars from Everest, I like their stuff, they're not hugely well detailed kits but after fitting metal wheels I know they will run very well.

That is a nice volvo for sure.....hopefully they are still available for a future buy or gift. Going to the Oxford site shortly.

Two new arrivals, this one I've mentioned before.

Has a decoder fitted, but for some reason forwards is reverse and vice versa easily sorted when I add it to my roster

I'm a sucker for Athern EMD Demos.

Don't think this has ever been used, head/tailight glazing not fitted or number boards or guardrails, but all the detail parts seem to be there with the exception of the sunshades, have to fit a decoder obviously, but not bad for £20.

Those Athearn Blue Box ones never did have sunshades in the parts envelope so you are not missing anything. Sadly the Athearn off the shelf GP60 is not quite right for the actual prototype/demonstrator ones (the cabs were a subtly different unique design), also had SP like nose lights and I think the dynamic hatch was different, the model is the later more squared off version.

Still, in that paint scheme, it still looks the business!!

I think I'll add some, just so I can tell the two apart.

I received this Friday.
Used but seller states : .....“The unit is like new and works great. I've only used it a hand full of times.”
New units are around $255.00. I gave $135.00 for this one. All pieces look brand new, cords wrapped with the original wire ties and users manual looks new. As my layout is not complete, I still need to check this unit with my multimeter later today.

I don’t remember what I paid for mine but I can tell you that it’s a great addition to the power cab system. Really takes operating the layout to the next level and offers more future possibilities!

Enjoy it 😃

I am so far behind in this thread again. I've got 3 new Athearn Genesis GP7s, a whole flock of grain hoppers, a pile of heavy weight passenger cars, can't remember if I posted the Proto E8s in Pennsy, several GG1s (trying to get one of each paint schemes), bunches of new ambroid craftsman kits, several Pennsy round top stock cars, an Atlas GN wide vision caboose, and that is just the stuff that goes on the track. Photo's forth coming.
