Hi. I’m new to the forum. I’m starting a modest n scale layout. I use Kato unitrack. I‘m trying to install Kato 20-284 Turntable extension track with the 2 current collector pins into the back cover. I can’t get the wires to stay on place, in order to screw the back cover onto the piece of track. Fitting the cable into the back cover so the 2 tiny wires connect to it, is a real challenge. Once I get this assembled, the plan was to connect the track piece to Kato 24-850 power feed control switch, and connect it to my Kato power pack. I have 2 requests. 1. Please provide guidance to successfully connect the separate wires to the track part. 2. If there is an easy alternative to connect the track to the power feed controller, thanks in advance for your help. I want to shut off the power to the lead in turntable track and keep a loco parked there. Now if a line the turntable track to accept a locomotive, the power activates the loco sitting on the roundhouse track as well.
Thanks for your assistance. Regards, Keith.
