Hello all, I am fitting an Oxford 064 with a j36 tts but with a smaller speaker (still 8 ohms) and on test its getting very hot. Is this normal? it sounds okay.

That can happen when the speaker is fed a lot of low frequency audio that it can't emit. A coupling capacitor may help.
