An Athearn (I think - it never had a box) D&RGW 40’ boxcar…
Just a couple hours spent on this…no insanity…

Yep, black is hard to weather. Fade, rust, and dirt is about the best for black to bring out the detail and highlights. Looks great and not overdone.
