Ignorance is Patriotic
Hello all,

I am wondering if any manufacturer produces a 50' Pacific Car & Foundry boxcar with the panel sides and flat roof, identical to the boxcars used by the now defunct Berlin Mills Railway? Photo links:

I already have the Berlin Mills decals and am ready to start this project, but can't seem to locate an appropriate boxcar model in HO scale. I don't have the time to kitbash an exact replica, so I may end up settling for a "foobie" if worse comes to worst. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Athearn Genesis has/had a few 50' PC&F boxcars, though I think all were plug door. The undec version might still be out there, I've been pulling the Seico Genesis boxes on eBay for $10 a piece. The door would have to come from another kit though.

Why not scratch-build the car from plastic sheets and shapes available from a hobby shop? It can provide a great deal of personal satisfaction to have a unique car.
