Hey All — On my lower level I have a single loop track that comes in and goes back out — thing will develop from here but from a technical power/wiring and future layout plans, is this setup possible? What I'm trying to achieve is Train comes in from 1 and then heads into the single track station. Noting that the current it's coming in on, would be wire for that specific outside/inside rail — then, once the Train is ready to leave the station, it heads out of the station and back onto the loop heading back in the other direction. Any thoughts/ suggestions on this. I'm exploring simply putting the station on the backside of the loop — though, from a visual perspective, I like the idea of a terminus station. Thank you.
I'm running Kato Unitrack / DCS56 and have a bus line below. Everything runs fine, but as soon as the loco crosses the polarity — Boink!
You could use a reverser, cut the No. 1 at the end of the turnout allowing access to it (so at the end of the diverging route), and at the end of the diverging route allowing access to No. 2, and leave everything else connected just as you have it depicted. You only need to reverse what is between the two gaps, and that's a simple wiring-in-series of the reverser so that it powers ONLY between those two gaps...so both tangents you show pink and red, but as a whole.
I have a 19 year old PSX-AR which I have used on two different layouts. It worked seamlessly, quietly, never a hiccup. DCC Specialties. It's all I know, and I believe they have since issued a newer version. I have no experience with others, but they're out there and must work 'bout as well.
