I picked up the loco at the Timonium show a couple weeks ago. For a DC version there were an awful lot of electronics in there. I bought a Soundtraxx TSU 2200 sound decoder for the model and have been working on it.
I added a few 680ohm resistors to the 1.5volt lamps but apparently that wasn't enough. All lamps have burned out. I'll add LEDs instead now. I added a lamp to the red roof warning light. I thought the 28mm speakers sounded great but didn't measure the width of the shell so had to stand the rear speaker on edge and replace the front speaker with a smaller one. The visible generators had to go so the speakers would fit.
Should have it in service in a couple more days.

I’ve burnt a good number of bulbs and LED’s as well!
I have a few unfinished locos with speakers keeping the shells from seating properly, maybe I’ll get back to it when the colder weather sets in.
