A Treatise on Wooden Trestle Bridges (1900)

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

Another great refererence and, as Harold said, you can easily save all these gems as PDF's right from the Google site. I find it interesting that UP had the fewest bridges and trestles per mile of all the roads listed.

Also .. you can create a 'virtual library' right there. I made a 'shelf' .. called it 'Railroad' .. you can then "save" the book to that shelf. Pretty cool. While most people could probably care less about out of copyright technical books from the turn of the century these are fantastic resources for those of us that DO care! :)
