5 Railgons

These are the Athearn cars from their last two runs…

Couple of issues as far as appearance…
A) Nationwide Gondola Pool font size is slightly different over the 2 runs
B) interior of car is devoid of any detail and suffers from 6 large mould ejection marks

I will rectify B) with scrap plastic kit parts making up a load to distract from the absence of detail

Dilute Tamiya Flat White airbrush fade and Tamiya rust mix sprayed on the interior…

Artist oils slopped on… and drawn down for the most part with a soft wide flat brush…

Tamiya mix grime airbrushed on the bottom and top edge of car

Nice work. Making loads is the best part of a gondola or flatcar.

I finished another load yesterday…
I like being able to identify specific kit parts in the mayhem…
The nice thing about the loads is they remove in one piece…and the loads fit multiple cars in the same series…

Those loads are nice. I have loads that would be after the shredder. I like using live loads. Spend a lot of time trying different things.

these loads look really great…are they solid pop-out pieces?

I got the idea for mine seeing a pic of a line of gondolas being loaded with stuff from a decommissioned factory/industrial plant…Piles of it was laying beside the track and some on cars…
