4"x7.5' section

I'm in the process of building a bedroom layout. The room is 11.5x11.5 roughly. The layout loops from a closet along the wall and needs to cross in front of two windows before proceeding down the opposite wall and then into the center of the room on a peninsula that will be home to a return loop and possibly a future helix.

I need to retain access to the windows per the wife. There will be about 30" between the edge of the 4" section and the peninsula. Obviously this will have to be pretty straight and there fore won't allow for much in the way of sidings or structures. My initial thought was to make a large portion of this a lake crossing scene. There is such a thing not to far from my home in the Missisquoi bay of VT. I've recently thought about making a large trestle or similar style bridge that would give this section some depth and possibly distract from it's narrowness. Still open to suggestions and always in awe at some of the creative works other members of this forum regularly produce. Maybe someone can help me with some inspiration here.

First thought: Don't spend time or money building a trestle, deck truss or through truss (even from a kit) in that location. It will be only a matter of time until she stumbles and leans into or onto it and breaks it just trying to use the window.

What you COULD do however is to build a deck girder bridge the full width of the windows, and build it over either a solid wood core or an aluminum core. You might even manage it with a core made from something like electrical conduit. It only needs to be pretty on the front side, after all.

Another way to go, albeit more involved: A pair of "lift bridge" sections, meeting in the center. Or just one long one hinged at one end. If you go that way, a truss bridge or truss section might stand up to abuse enough to be viable after all.

I see you have some other threads up and running too, so I'll look in on those if I get a chance.

Been awhile but made some decisions and progress for better or worse.
Ive decided to model a slightly scaled down version of what's known around my area as the georgia high bridge. There is a state road (104a) that runs under one end and a small back road under the oppositte side. I plan to construct 104a and its underpass but eliminate the small road. In the middle is a river and a valley. My version will be 450 scale feet give or take. The prototype is a little orver 700 feet long. I couldn't find quick easy stats for its height but i guessed around 85 and made my temporary piers
there will be a plexi glss shield to help reduce the possibility of giants knocking thun
