1121 Switch controller vs 1122 Switch controller

Hey Guys, I'm new to the Forum but have a question regarding the difference between the two above mentioned controllers. Tandem says they are interchangeable because of (1) a wiring difference due to derailing vs. non-derailing and the rivet patterns on the base. Since Tandem doesn't show a picture, I can't figure out which one is which?

Yes, Lionel. Sorry aboot that. https://www.tandem-associates.com/ is a reference tool I use all the time. They have a lot of lionel postwar information on everything Lionel sold during that era.
