Is there a way to upload videos on model railroad forums? Can't seem to make it work.

Is there a way to upload videos on model railroad forums? Can't seem to make it work.

The easiest way is to create a YouTube channel, upload the video there and link it here.

I was not sure about wanting to do that but found the process much easier than expected. Now that I have the channel it's even simpler to do.

I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but this is how I did it for my build thread.

There is a member here who does the video and links it from his OneDrive.

Step 1: post it on Youtube
Step 2: post a link

Bandwidth is expensive, and videos use massive amounts.

You can host it anywhere you’d like, for example Vimeo has excellent quality. But as long as YouTube will host them for free, I’m not paying to host them here.

just copy and paste the link and it automatically embeds it like so:

Yeah, FRA regs say something about being limited to 25 mph if it isn't equipped. I don't think that should be an issue...

I’ve seen our Climax hit 18 mph once, it was both impressive and terrifying. We were pretty sure she’d soon start shedding parts.
