They aren't seeking "likes" to feel important, they're probably doing it to make, or try to make money. Once you get enough likes/subscriptions/channel members/etc, you can start collecting advertising revenue. Some video creators are also trying to attract the attention of product manufacturers...

Private switchers you say? I just happen to have a couple pictures I took of those handy in my photostream online.
FFG&C 1828 is a rare GP28, originally built for the Illinois Central RR in 1964. I caught it in 2007 working the grain elevator in the tiny town of Dewey, IL, where it spends most...

I suppose this is my smallest steam locomotive. Walthers Proto 2000 USRA 0-8-0 with sound and DCC, late edition (gray box). It's unfortunate Walthers didn't make many P2K steam locomotives, this one is excellent, runs and looks good. Most of my power is diesel however, I just have a handful of...

I used Woodland foam for the track bed on my last layout, I was happy with it. Used mostly HO bed, but also some N-scale under branchlines and industry stubs. I also had some of the large sheets for yards. The layers were plywood, foam board, then track bed. I attached the track bed with Loctite...

Great, fun movie. One of the few "grown up" movies I was allowed to watch as a kid, as my parents knew I was interested in trains. But no one told me it was inappropriate to yell "sonofabitch!" in grade school after viewing it.
Probably also a factor in my fondness for F-units and SP's Sunset...

Alright, opened my photos folder, here's the first boxcar photo I came across. ARMN 912115 mechanical refrigerator boxcar, southbound near Newport, MN. Taken August 2013.

I've heard of spaghetti-bowl layouts, now we've got pizza.
Who wants to do a lasagna layout next?

Well if we're going that way, technically the OP said it was a 4" x 16' oval. That's an incredibly tight curve radius, even for Z-scale. 🤣

Sorry, haven't contributed to these picture threads in a while. First one I could find quickly: northbound at Titlow, which shares its name with a beach, park, and lake on the west side of Tacoma.

I hit up a couple local shops the other week. I finally decided to cash out the reward points at one of them, as I'll be moving out of the area in the near future. They had put out what appeared to be some "new old stock" items, including this set of Cotton Belt PC&F boxcars, which I think has...

To add on to the suggestions above, if you don't have something like it already, consider an inexpensive set of needle files from your preferred cheap hardware source:
