There are a few threads on here and elsewhere that have a lot of information regarding Railpro. Look around for them and you'll get a bit more data to work with. I'll give you a few things here though to get you started.
I've been using Railpro since about 2011. It's changed quite a bit...

Congrats on getting Railpro! Hope you're able to get your layout up and running quickly. You're going to love using it.
For those of you interested, there's been a Railpro Users group set up on Yahoo: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/RailProUsers/info
Apparently it's been up for a few...

In addition to Yankee Dabbler, TrainTek LLC and Model Train Stuff both carry the system.

Joe - you're welcome. And like I said, if there are other questions you have I will try to answer them. I've been around the system for a while and am pretty familiar with it.
Laurence - Thanks! Unfortunately I can't share the file. The guy that originally recorded it has allowed me to use...

And another thing. Railpro is constantly being updated with new software and sounds. See the update page here: http://ringengineering.com/WhatsNew.htm.
They just released a new desktop software program that opens up a whole new side for Railpro. All downloads from Ring Engineering (sounds...

Joe,
I've been using Railpro for about 3 years now and love it. Like you, my local club had Digitrax and it was rather cumbersome and a bit of a pain sometimes. I went looking around for other options and came across Railpro. The thing that drew me to it most was not having to speed...

hamltnblue - Good set of pictures. I'm not sure of the exact specs of the onboard storage of the HC-2, but I do know that it is twice the size of the HC-1. I have nearly all the current available sounds and lighting effects on my HC-1, and finally ran out of space to add the newest prime mover...

Congrats on getting Railpro, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've had it for quite a while now and have been really pleased. I have a bit of experience with the in's and out's of the system. On that note, a few of the things you mentioned above are not quite correct or would benefit...

Chad,
I'm not sure how far you are wanting to take your weathering or what skills your are hoping to learn, but an excellent resource for both beginner and seasoned weatherer alike is The Rustbucket forum: http://tws-rustbucket.com/. There are a lot of helpful walkthroughs and articles on...

This is not the case. The PWR-75 is the power supply if you choose to use it. Because it is also controlled with wireless signals (on/off and real-time status) from the HC-1, it can also act as a "repeater"...basically it means that commands originating from the HC-1 can go directly to the...

Dullcote has worked great for me. I shoot mine out of a rattle can and have not had a problem. I run the can under hot water for a minute or so to get a fine mist when spraying.

Looking good so far! Nice prototype shot to follow from. I have a couple of suggestions that might help give it that extra awesomeness. After all the graffiti is done, hit the car with a couple of washes to tone down the brightness of the car and graffiti. Then add the small touches of...
