    My Big Shed layout

Well how things change I have completed all the wiring, of cause some minor but head scratching issues but worked through them and got all the tracks correct, all the point’s working. Got trains running both manually and through Train Controller. Now after a few months of running I was missing...

Point motor conundrum!!! - New N Scale Layout

Well, it's been decided, I will be building a new N scale layout. The new layout will be to fit into approx. 3.3m x 6m, this will give me good long runs and plenty of operational opportunities. My big conundrum is points motors, I currently use Peco points motor's and they are not always...

    "Chattering" points connected through DS74

Dug a bit deeper and checked with the Digitrax "DigiIPL" as to firmware version of the troublemaker and found out it was not UpToDate - version 0.4 instead of version 0.6 (I was clutching at straws) downloaded the update and updated. Very hesitantly I pressed the switches and no chattering just...

    "Chattering" points connected through DS74

I have come up against something i have not seen before in model trains. I am hoping someone may help. I have 4 Peco solenoid points motors connected via a DS74. Out of the blue whilst testing the 4 points started "chattering" (clicking back and forth), sometimes just one sometimes more. I have...

    Digitrax DCS210+/ Train Controller

Ken It did, simple fix. I went on after the fix to finish setting the addresses of all of my points and found out that when i replaced the 2 DS64's that I had wired them in reverse sequence. the DS64's are 1G1R, 2G2R etc but the DS74 are 4G4R,3G3R etc but did wire the original 4 DS74's in the...

    BDL168's not responding to reset

    Digitrax DCS210+/ Train Controller

This issue seems to happen when shutting down TCB, In TCB I press the power off button, disconnect "Digital System" and that is when track power turns off I will throw the question at The Railroad & Co helpdesk and see what happens

    Digitrax DCS210+/ Train Controller

Does anyone have experience with the following problem (I think it's a problem). When finishing my session with Train Controller (Bronze 8) I lose all track power (the BDL168's all light up like Xmas trees). The only way I have found to restore track power to normal is to reset the DCS210+ Am...

    BDL168's not responding to reset

I have just received a response from Digitrax Helpdesk - followed their direction and it worked. I now have my 3 BDL168's working as they should. 😁. I will admit to being apprehensive about using that procedure thinking I could muck up other settings. The manuals just say - Connect throttle to...

    BDL168's not responding to reset

I have 3 BDL168's connected to my layout for use via Train Controller, The LT5's show occupancy but when I try to reset the board numbers nothing seems to happen. I downloaded JMRI to check and it only responds to 1 unit. I have checked the wiring (as best I can) The lights blink as they should...

    My Big Shed layout

Still working on the control draw, I surprised myself with the amount of wiring it has taken!! Found some wiring design faults (me DOH) with the BLD168's and I removed the PSX4 as it was redundant because of the PM74. This then led me to need another PM74 to accommodate 2 additional power...
