I’m quite amaze at the level of details that exist nowadays on models.

Take a look at this one for example (TLT Covered Hopper)
It looks great and there’s lots of warning, notices and general marking on this car.

Looking at it up close it’s difficult to make out the labels/notices, since you can’t read them under normal conditions. But under magnification (zoom) the wording and labels comes out clearly! Amazing!

It makes me wonder if some people carry a magnifying glass to make out those labels. I wonder if they go ape if the labels are wrong:D

Why do you think the manufacturers take pains to make sure they're correct these days?;)

I must admit, I sent Athearn an email when they got the capacity wrong on several schemes in a recent release of their PS 4740 hopper. Fortunately, this was pre-production, so hopefully they were able to make the changes to the artwork before they filled a shipping container worth of them.

But yeah, if I'm applying all those little decals, I'll do my best to make sure they're right. Like they say, "a job worth doing is a job worth doing right."
