If you're using India ink with 90% ISO, for wood staining, does it make a difference if it's water proof or non-water proof? I've always used the NON, but now I want to try making some other stains using shoe dye and I starting thinking about this.
 
Depending on what you are going to do with it after staining. Will it be exposed to water afterward?
